Spiritual themes in projective interventional art therapy

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on the topic of spirituality in projective interventional art therapy. In the theoretical part it describes the concept of spirituality and the common perception of it, and defines its developmental aspects. It points out the difference between spirituality and religion. It also studies spiritual topics in art and psychotherapy, and discusses the possibility of working with bibliotherapy and hagiotherapy. The practical part examines pieces of art supplied by adult respondents which were given a topic related to spirituality (e.g. Adam and Eve or a nativity scene). The art pieces are examined by certain criteria and then put into the context of usability for purposes of art therapy and the persons needs for higher purpose.

This diploma thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is devoted to depicting biblical themes in the history of art from their beginnings up to the early modern period, especially in connection with the South Bohemian chateau Kratochvíle and its fresco decoration. Furthermore, the text deals with depicting the story of Samson and Delilah, which is also part of the paintings on the ceiling of the Small Gold Hall at the chateau. In connection with the practical part of the work, the final chapter of the theoretical article focuses on the issue of visual impaired people, including the creation of haptic models as compensatory aids for these individuals.The creation of a haptic model as an aid for blind visitors to Kratochvíle chateau became the goal of the practical part of the thesis. The aforementioned fresco depicting Samson and Delilah served as a model for the depiction. The resulting relief was made of sharpened ceramic argil and painted with acrylic paint. The model is accompanied by a set of sketches that were used to make it. The haptic model is primarily intended for the visually impaired, but will also serve the general public, as it should be exhibited in the Kratochvíle chateau.
Biblical themes in works of Jewish artists on the territory of The Russian Empire at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries

This master thesis is focused on problematics of biblical themes in works of the Jewish artists on the territory of The Russian Empire at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. The introduction of the work deals with socio-political and cultural conditions of the Jewish community, which lived in the pre-revolutionary Imperial Russia. The following part, on the basis of archive materials, remained daily press, periodic press and memoirs, presents two important cultural centres: Jewish Societies for the Encouragement of Arts in Saint-Petersburg and in Moscow, notably their significant support for development of the Jewish arts in Russian culture of that time. The main, third part of the research presents the creative activity of the most prominent representatives of the Jewish art scene and analysis key trends in choosing biblical themes for their art production. Biblical motives in the work of František Hrubín

The thesis attempts to analyse the František Hrubín's poetry in which the parallels with The Scripture or biblical themes could be found. The thesis sorts discovered themes to those that can and to those that cannot be analyzed with the Scripture. The important findings is whether the discovered themes can be essentially marked as biblical or if they are used also with the other meaning by the author. Partical objective is the finding of identical themes in the other authors pieces and comparing them with the themes of František Hrubín. The thesis looks for the connections between the subjects, themes or with the author's writing itself or his contemporaries.
